Spring is almost upon us, which means it’s the perfect time to come explore all the activities that Ohio’s Hocking Hills has to offer.

Hike or Bike

There’s no better place for state parks than Hocking Hills.  Take a walk or a ride through Lake Hope State Park, which offers 33 miles of trails in the Zaleski State Forest and is also home to abandoned mines and steep gorges, Tar Hollow State Park and its miles of trails, or stay closer and explore the over 140 forested acres and miles of serene woodland trails at Cherry Ridge Retreat of Hocking Hills.

Take A Drive

Hocking Hills offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the state of Ohio.  Cruise from Cherry Ridge Retreat to Wayne National Forest, situated on over a quarter million acres in the foothills of Southeast Ohio, or perhaps the scenic byway which starts on State Route 374 at US 33, taking you through Cantwell Cliffs, Conkles Hollow, and Old Mans Cave, all the way to Ash Cave.

Motorcyclists, fear not – we have you covered as well!  State Route 78 between Glouster and McConnelsville takes you through Burr Oak State Park with plenty of twists in the road, which runs along the edge of the Wayne National Forest and offers intense views of the dense foliage, farmland and rolling hills that stretch nearly 60 miles into the distance in the heart of Hocking Hills.

Hit The Links

Time to dust off the clubs!  A short drive from Cherry Ridge Retreat in Logan offers golf at Hocking Hills Golf Club, a par 71 course on nearly 6,000 yards of rolling terrain.  After you’re done playing, grab a bite at the Urban Grille!

Book your stay with us today and ask our friendly staff about the best outdoor fun you can have, before you retire to the unique, luxurious cabins that Cherry Ridge Retreat of Hocking Hills has to offer!
