So you’re coming to Hocking Hills this week and you may not know where to start! certainly you want to explore some of the gorgeous state parks and if you’re staying at our Luxury or Romantic cabins here at Cherry Ridge Retreat, surely you’ll want to spend some time in your secluded hot tub, soaking in the views, but what else is there to do? Animal Architects Event at Burr Oak State Park

Learn a bit about the wildlife designs and homes that inspire humans everyday! From beavers to snakes, birds and more! Just meet up with the naturalists at the Lodge Lobby at Burr Oak State Park and enjoy the show!

Saturday May 18th 2pm

Hocking Hills Birds of Prey event near Old Man’s Cave

Learn about the many types of hunting birds native to the state, and see how their hunting methods differ! Owls, Hawks, and more claim Ohio as their home, why not learn a bit about them while you’re here! Just meet at the Naturalist Cabin near the Old Man’s Cave Visitors Center!

Romantic Moonlight Canoe Ride

Enjoy this month’s Full Moon on this romantic canoe ride. Imagine paddling with your special someone, admiring the moonlit river, sights and sounds. Enjoy floating down the gorgeous Hocking River while you can hear the crickets chirp and the bullfrogs croak. Feel free to bring along a picnic if you’d like to stop at the scenic river beaches, and there will be a complementary glass of wine for you and your partner.
