Hard to believe we’re already in September! Every day more and more leaves are changing from their vibrant greens to pale yellow, such a bittersweet sight! Before we know it we will be seeing a blanket of oranges, reds, and the other beautiful sights of autumn. But for now, lets enjoy the end of summer while we have it! 21st Annual Ohio Pawpaw Fest
Located in Albany, Ohio (just a short drive from your Cherry Ridge Retreat cabin!) the Ohio Pawpaw Fest is a yearly tradition, showing off Ohio’s little known native fruit, the pawpaw! The Pawpaw fest is a favorite, must-see event and is on it’s 21st year! And don’t worry about running out of things to do! You can sample the pawpaw in many forms: fresh from the tree, in ice cream, fudge and all kinds of other treats at the festival! Festival activities include a cook off, eating contest, magic show and so much more! Admission is $15 per day, or $30 for the whole weekend! John Glenn Astronomy Stargazing
Enjoy a night of stargazing with the experts!Bring your own telescope or use theirs! Located right in Hocking Hills State Park, enjoy the gorgeous views of the night sky. Full moon viewing on Friday, Neptune viewing on Saturday! Events are free, but as always, please register at http://registration.jgap.org/ to claim your spot!

Meeting at Lake Hope State Park, enjoy this 1 mile walk/hike to learn all about King’s Hollow Tunnel and the history of the railroad and surrounding areas! Enjoy the beautiful scenery, the picturesque historical tunnel, and learn with a little more knowledge of the railroading history of Hocking Hills!
