Already we’re nearly to mid October. Halloween decorations are starting to make their ways out, pumpkins are being carved and the Pumpkin Spice Lattes are flowing!
Now that we have the cooler nights coming on, it’s perfect for late night bonfires and s’mores, not to mention perfect for a night in one of our luxurious hot tubs! We still have some weekday availability, so act fast!

And while you’re in the area, we’ve got some great suggestions for Fall events and activities to check out!

 

Grandma Gatewoods Fall Colors Hike (Saturday, 9am)

Enjoy the beauty of the changing leaves at Old Mans’ cave. Hike takes about 3-4hr hrs to complete, and spans over 6 miles. This strenuous hike may seem like a bit of a commitment, but the fall colors and the fresh hillside air will make it well worth it!

Pumpkin Fest at the Dairy Barn (Saturday, 11-3pm)

Over in Athens this must-see even is full of great activities for the whole family! Pumpkin Painting, Apple cider and caramel apples, Henna tattoos and wagon rides! This event is completely free, so go out out and have some family fun!!

Glass Painting for Fall (Saturday, 1-4pm)

This fun class offers you the opportunity to paint your choice of a stemmed wine glass, stemless wineglass or tumblers! Feel free to freehand, or use one of the offered stylus tools to create your fall masterpiece! Create a memento to remember your time in Hocking Hills!

Walking Tour of the Ridge Asylum (Sunday, 2pm)

Join this guided tour of the historical Athens mental asylum. Learn about the haunted history, as well as the plans for the land going forward. This expert led tour will be teach you all about the buildings and history of the Ridges. The tour leader will share his insights on the treatment of patients and the 150 history, peppered with storied, personal anecdotes as well as insider info on the hidden locations throughout the grounds.
