Originally built as a storage barn, the Boat House is the only cabin constructed entirely from wood milled on our property. One of the most popular accommodations at Cherry Ridge Retreat, the Boat House has received many updates over the years and is now designated as one of our pet-friendly locations. Featuring a private deck and gazebo and luxurious private sauna on the lake, this is truly one of the most unique cabins for couples and families.

EXTERIOR:

Featuring a private dock and gazebo with a luxurious private sauna on the lake, the Boat House is the ideal getaway for those who love life on the water. In the warmer months, you can explore the lake and its stocked offering of fish in the seasonal row boat. Its private outdoor space includes a fire pit (view firewood packages), two-person hammock, and private dock with bar, sunbathing, and dining areas. Furry friends are welcome!

Note: The proximity between the Boat House and Lake House are closer together than any of our other cabins on property. While every effort has been made to address privacy and comfort, you may be subject to noise from the guests staying at the Lake House. If absolute privacy is of the upmost concern, we suggest: Ravine’s Edge, The Observatory, or Oak Ridge.

INTERIOR:

Originally built as a storage barn that was then converted for use as a guest house, the Boat House maintains its rustic origins via knotty pine accents, wide-plank wood floors, a copper sink in the large bathroom, railroad ties used for the fireplace mantle, and more. Its vaulted ceilings, recessed lighting, ceiling fans, and radiant floor heating in the bathroom bring in a modern touch. This single bedroom cabin features a king-sized bed in the spacious bedroom, and a comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa in the large living room.
