Each of our eight cabins is situated on its own private site and each site is unique. At Cherry Ridge Retreat of Hocking Hills, there are no bad cabin choices.
If you’re looking for ultimate privacy and star gazing views, try The Observatory. If you want to be surrounded 360 degrees by gorgeous woodland, maybe try Ravine’s Edge. Or return and stay at a new cabin with every visit. Over time you’ll discover the varied views and charms of Cherry Ridge Retreat.

The "Hocking Hills" are actually an entire region stretching along the Appalachian hills in Hocking County, southern Ohio. Our cabins are nestled right in Hocking County and are a quick, 15-minute drive from one of Hocking Hills most coveted attractions, Ash Cave! Once there, all the other Hocking Hills "must-sees"— including Cedar Falls, Old Man’s Cave, etc.—are just a 5-to-10 minute drive.

Given the secluded and private nature of our retreat, the nearest grocery store or gas station is about a 25-minute drive from your cabin. We do recommend you do your shopping before you arrive on property or opt-in to our In-Cabin Grocery Delivery.

Phone Service

Unfortunately cell coverage will be pretty spotty throughout most of the region, as the hills and valleys of Hocking Hills tend to make cell coverage a bit more tricky than elsewhere in the state. At Cherry Ridge Retreat, we do offer wifi access. With the use of a wifi enabled smartphone, calls and text messaging can made and received. Additionally, all of our cabins have telephones and include free long distance. Go ahead and check in on your mother in Florida… your call is on us.

We do have two pet friendly cabins! Unfortunately we can’t allow pets at all of our cabins in order to maintain the integrity of our cabins and to protect our guests who suffer from allergies.

Many people have mild to severe allergies to pet hair and dander. We do not allow pets for the common good of our guests as well as helping to maintain the cleanliness of our cabins.
