 Believe it or not, the Hocking Hills and the surrounding areas have so many options for parks to explore, sometimes it can be hard to decide which one to visit first! Read on to learn more about the many adventuring options!

Hocking Hills State Park


Hocking Hills State Park, the one you came here for!
Hocking Hills contains over 25 miles of hiking trails and dozens of stunning geographical features. The Park consists of 7 main hiking areas: Ash Cave, Cantwell Cliffs, Cedar Falls, Conkle’s Hollow (nature preserve), Old Man’s Cave, Rock House and Hemlock Bridge Trail to Whispering Cave.

Lake Hope State Park


Lake Hope State Park is just a 20 minute drive from your Cherry Ridge Retreat cabin, and spans nearly 3,000 acres of forested land. Lake Hope State Park features miles of trails and plenty of lake for fishing, boating and swimming. And if you’re hungry, make sure to stop in at the Lake Hope Lodge for a bite to eat. If you’re in the Hills for the weekend, make sure to try out their Sunday Brunch!
Fun Fact: The entirety of Lake Hope State Park technically lies within the Zaleski State Forest!

Wayne National Forest

The Wayne National Forest, only a 30 minute drive from your Cherry Ridge Retreat cabin. Featuring horse back riding, ATV trails, day hiking trails, mountain biking, boating, swimming and more! There are endless options to explore at the Wayne!

Lake Logan State Park

Lake Logan is a great place to check out for swimming, boating, fishing and hiking and is only a 24 minute drive from your Cherry Ridge Retreat cabin. A great place to take the family!
